Hacking > Drugs

Monday, November 28th, 2005

It seems that cyber crimes are more profiable than drugs. Previously I thought that if school didn’t work out, I would become a drug dealer because the profit margins are so high (one thing I learned from economics 101). Now the data points me to believe that hacking would be a better criminal endeavour. Only if school does not work out…

Pretty much the coolest thing ever

Last.fm is pretty much the coolest thing ever. Sign up for an account, download a small plugin and you get realtime statistics on every song you listen to. Even better, anyone else can tell what songs you are currently listening to and can see your favorite artists etc. To see what songs I am listening to go to my profile. I have only had the plugin installed for 30ish hours, so the stats do not entirely represent my musical tendancies.

I am going to be home for Thanksgiving in less than 24 hours. Yay.

Overload

Friday, November 4th, 2005

I registered for classes next semester. I am going to be taking 19 credits.

Math 224 Multivariable Calculus 4 Credits
Math 225 Differential Equations 4 Credits
Math 221 Matrix Theory 3 Credits
CS 350 Theory of Computation 3 Credits
CS 223 Advanced Data Structures and Algorithms 4 Credits
EE 262 Logic Circuits Lab 1 Credit

It may be too much. I will have to see how the work load is. If it is too much, I will probably drop CS 350 as it is not required for my major.
