I am almost finished assembling the robot for electrical engineering 101. The board itself looks pretty neat. From the looks of it, I am going to be able to a whole bunch of fun stuff with it. I am particularly excited about the four digit led numbers. Unfortunately, I just looked on the EE101 website and found that we are going to use the MC9S12C32 microcontroller, but it is going to be mounted on the M68MOD912C32 module which will include pre-programmed programs. That really disappoints me. I want to program it myself. Pre-made programs are no fun. Of course if I follow the directions of the university and try to graduate in 4 years with a degree in computer engineering, I won’t learn C until the first semester of my junior year. I may try and take it next semester just because I want to know C. I decided that once I figure out how to program this robot, I want to put on a gyroscope and make a balancing robot.
